Top Down CPM’s methodology was developed by industry leaders with years of experience at Planful, and global professional services firms. Our methodology represents a unique combination of proven structured processes blended with practical approaches and streamlined techniques designed to achieve Agility & reduced Time-To-Value. This well-calibrated mix of structure and speed allows our projects to be completed rapidly and predictably. This means that Top Down CPM’s incentives are aligned with our clients to make the implementation as cost-effective as possible.
Sprints are the cornerstone of our implementation methodology. Each project will consist of multiple Sprints with an expected duration of no more than 7-10 days.
Team Training: We have aligned our processes to ensure that teams are engaged and learning through every step. We will ensure the project team is trained prior to Sprint Planning to ensure they understand the terminology and technology concepts of the given application area.
Sprint Prep: Our implementation is comprised of multiple Sprints designed to be short in duration and deliver meaningful and specific value. The Sprint Prep tasks are for both the Client and Top Down CPM. Our clients use this time to collect the data, reports, worksheets, etc. required for the Sprint. Top Down CPM uses this time to validate the data that has been collected and to prepare the application.
Sprint Plan: Sprint Plans are structured sessions designed to make decisions about the configuration of the application. Our Clients should expect to make decisions about how the application will be configured and to spend time with their hands on the keyboard. Sprint Plans are structured to bring in key end-users, which would not have gone through training, but can assist with the design of the components of the module and provide valuable input to ensure user adoption.
Sprint: The Sprint is the period where the delivery of the module (i.e., templates, reports, etc.) is completed. Regularly scheduled meetings will be scheduled to review the work completed by Top Down CPM and/or the Client. These meetings are frequent (often daily) and short in duration.
End User Training & Rollout: For those modules where users will interact (i.e., Reporting and Planning), Top Down CPM will assist the Client in developing user training materials (Microsoft PowerPoint or Word documents) and assist in delivering those materials to train the end-users.
